The Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) is a chain of custody standard that tracks recycled raw materials through the supply chain. It sets requirements for independent certification of recycled input. Under the standard, each stage of production is required to be certified, beginning at the recycling stage. RCS is an assurance to customers that the claimed recycled materials are indeed recycled.
